Fig, Maple, and Almond Butter Smoothie Recipe

From the Farmhouse Kitchen at Root & Branch Farms

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of milk or plant-based milk of your choice (I use Silk Original soy milk)
  • 12 ounces of frozen figs (note: you can use fresh figs in this recipe, but you’ll have to add a lot more ice to make the smoothie cold)
  • 1/3 cup of real maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup of almond butter
  • Handful of ice

 

Instructions:

  1. Add the milk, real maple syrup, almond butter, and about half of the frozen figs to the blender, and blend thoroughly. (I only add half of the figs initially, so that my blender doesn’t jam up.)
  2. Add the remaining figs and a handful of ice, and blend thoroughly. Enjoy!

 

Yields 4 servings.
