Kid-Friendly Blackberry Agua Fresca Recipe

An Original Recipe Brought to You
From the Farmhouse Kitchen at Root & Branch Farms
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces blackberries (either fresh or frozen work)
- 5 cups water
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Add the blackberries, water, maple syrup, and salt to a large blender. Blend thoroughly.
- Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the liquid into a bowl or other large container, to strain out as many blackberry seeds as possible. Discard the seeds.
- Refrigerate for several hours until cold. The flavor is actually better once the drink is completely chilled!
Note: Agua frescas are typically best when you drink them within the first 24 hours after making them. If you refrigerate this agua fresca, there may be some separation after storage, so just give the drink a quick stir to mix it again.
Yields approximately 2 quarts.
