Spiced Fig Lassi Recipe

An Original Recipe Brought to You
From the Farmhouse Kitchen at Root & Branch Farms
Ingredients:
- 2.5 cups of milk or plant-based milk of your choice (I use Silk Original soy milk)
- 2 dashes of ground cloves
- ¾ teaspoon of ground cardamom
- ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup of granulated white sugar
- 16 ounces of frozen figs (note: you can use fresh figs in this recipe, but you’ll have to add a lot more ice to make the smoothie cold)
- 2 cups of plain whole milk Greek yogurt
- Handful of ice (optional)
Instructions:
- Add the milk, ground cloves, ground cardamom, ground cinnamon, granulated white sugar, and about half of the frozen figs to the blender, and blend thoroughly. (I only add about half of the figs initially, so that my blender doesn’t jam up.)
- Add the plain whole milk Greek yogurt, the remaining figs, and a handful of ice, and blend thoroughly. Enjoy!
Note: You can use any variety of fig in this lassi, but I prefer Chicago Hardy or Brown Turkey figs for this recipe.
Yields 4 servings.
