Fig, Honey, and Date Smoothie Recipe

An Original Recipe Brought to You
From the Farmhouse Kitchen at Root & Branch Farms
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of milk or plant-based milk of your choice (I use Silk Original soy milk)
- 12 ounces of frozen figs (note: you can use fresh figs in this recipe, but you’ll have to add a lot more ice to make the smoothie cold)
- 4 dates, pitted (I use Medjool dates)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey
- Handful of ice
Instructions:
- Remove the pits from the dates. Also remove the calyx as needed (the calyx is the round part at the bottom of the date).
- Add milk, dates, honey, and about half of the frozen figs to the blender, and blend thoroughly. (I only add half of the figs initially, so that my blender doesn’t jam up.)
- Add the remaining figs and a handful of ice, and blend thoroughly. Enjoy!
Yields 4 servings.
